SMTP server settings.

If you want reports with print statistics for local or network printers to be emailed to you, you need to use an external SMTP server. It can be your network’s internal SMTP server, or an SMTP server of any public email service, such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.

To enter the SMTP server address, select Properties->SMTP settings in the right-click menu of the print server object, which you can find in the left tree of O&K Print Watch objects.

SSL/TLS SMTP servers are supported, too. The mail transfer protocol is detected automatically. If you need to explicitly specify the SMTP server port, append the port number to the server address (for example, smtp.server.com:993).

By default, report@prnwatch.com is the sender’s address.
You can change the sender’s address as follows.

  • In the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\O&K Software\O&K Print Watch (for a 64-bit operating system, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\O&K Software\O&K Print Watch), create the value SmtpMailFrom of type REG_SZ.
  • Use that value to specify a new sender’s address.
  • Restart O&K Print Watch Service.
