Printing Authentication Client.
You can use O&K Print Watch to set a password or a PIN code for printing documents using the printer.
In this case the user will have to enter the password in order to print a document.
The O&K Print Watch Authentication Client is used to request a password and send it to the server.
How it works:
- The user sends a document to the printer. At the same time, there is a PIN code request set for the user, a group of users or the printer.
- O&K Print Watch Service puts the document in the print queue with the "Paused" status and sends the Authentication Client on the user's computer a PIN code request
- The user has to enter the PIN code for the document to be printed.
- The document is printed if the PIN code is entered correctly.
- If the user cancels entering the PIN code, the document is removed from the print queue and remains unprinted.
IMPORTANT: If there is a PIN code request set for the user, a group of users or the printer and
the O&K Print Watch Authentication Client is not installed or is not running on the user's computer,
the document will not be printed. It will remain in the queue with the "Paused" status.
A regular user will not be able to resume printing the document or to remove it, only the administrator will be able to do it.
Besides, the user can use the O&K Print Watch Authentication Client to view his own printing statistics, his balance and to get notifications from the server.
